35mm Film Photography
As always with my blogs, it starts with a bargain, I picked up a lightly used, slightly smokey smelling Minolta XG-M 35mm SLR, for just 45 pounds~, Combined with a better condition 50mm lense for more wide shots, I had my next hobby.
First ever pictures
As you can imagine the first few pictures would be a bit lac-luster, I ran a roll of Pan 400asa, B&W film through the camera just to test it, I’d read online that light leaks on old cameras were more then likely to be shot.
As you can clearly see this was the case, with a white band shooting right down the frame in all my pictures.
Before taking anymore pictures, I bought some 1.5mm light blocking foam and resealed all the edges of the camera door, ensuring light wouldn’t sneak in again.
The Canadians visited
I had some friends visit from Canada so used this as an opportunity to practice some photots, with improving results
A trip to Rome
